The spring sports season has arrived! Many of our spring teams have an awaited season ahead of them. An important part of the teams are our very own team managers. Let’s talk to some of our Mills team managers, learning the important role they play.
The Mills boys tennis team has started their season. This season the team has three team managers, one being Kaylee Chang. Kaylee was on the Mills girls tennis team this past fall season and is in her second year of being a team manager for the Mills boys tennis team. She mentioned, “My role is important because I am an experienced player who has been playing for years so I can help the players get better by giving tips and playing games with them.”
Chloe Cho is a junior and former runner for the Mills track team, and is now the team manager. When asked why she became the manager, she said, “I chose to become manager because I wasn’t the biggest fan of running but I still loved the environment that the team produced.” This season she is looking forward to meeting more of the underclassmen and getting to know them.
Having these two amazing team captains for track and tennis gives them the opportunity to step out of the shadow and get credit for the work and support they put into the teams they help manage.
